Switching from color to black and white film, landscapes and objects returned as my photographic subject matter. I did eventually move away from that and back to taking pictures of my friends. Because of my participation and the love of competitive swimming I add sports photography in my list of experiences. It was not until I was out of college that I moved into portrait photography. I landed my first gig at a retail portrait studio where I learned to be a better portrait photographer and met my future wife. After a year in Chicago, my wife who was 8 months pregnant, and I came back to home to be with family and raise our son.
I moved around from studio to studio and even stopped taking portraits all together but I returned to photography in 2000. Besides my family and watching my son grow, it was the only thing that made me happy.
My passion in life is photography. I live it, learn all that I can about it, and I am moved by it. I believe that a good portrait tells only half of the story, a great portrait completes it. This is what I strive for in each portrait session. My portrait style is a mix of traditional poising, natural lighting and fashion. I love to try new ideas that results in each client receiving a portrait unique to them. With the combination of products and services I offer I can complete your family’s portrait story in a new and interesting way.
